The Pongal festival was celebrated in a grand and traditional manner in Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s College on 12th January, 2026. This year the celebration was organized with the special theme of Unity in Diversity with a strong focus on Value-Based Pongal highlighting the cultural values, social harmony and respect for tradition. A special highlight was the arrangement and procession of eight business-based Pongal houses representing different occupational sectors, along with the college Management Pongal. As a part of the Celebrations Value Based Exhibition was organized focusing the ethical, cultural and occupational aspects of society. Around 150 nearby school and college students visited and enjoyed our celebrations. Sweet Pongal was distributed to all. The celebration also included “Pongal Cheer” and charity offerings. Queens thoroughly enjoyed the celebration and learned important values through the Pongal activities. The event concluded with traditional fun games. We thank God Almighty for the successful celebrations throughout the day.
