As a part of enriching our students’ awareness level in Telecom services, our Department of Commerce has organised an awareness programme titled “Consumer Awareness on Telecom Services” on 20.02.2025, Thursday at 2 p.m., to our B.Com queens. Totally 114 students have attended this programme at seminar hall. Prof.Dr.P.Duraisingam, Career Trust, Tirunelveli delivered a key note address. He gave an awareness about the Tele communication services availed by BSNL, JIO and AIRTEL group of networks. He elaborately explained the importance of handling unknown calls, respond to the unwanted messages, avoid to click unwanted links of Banks, Insurance companies and other corporate personnel and the strategies to handle other fraudulent activities of technical fraud personnel. He showered an eye opening touch to the students on TRAI 2.0 Fraudulent Application, its workings, uninterrupted network coverage and dealing with Spam calls. This session gave an eye opening and overview of Telecom service networks and its operations for avoiding the network fraud.
